YOUTH APPRENTICE CREW
The Youth Apprentice Crew is a paid immersive program for young adults 14-18 years old.
We are looking for motivated young adults interested in learning more about growing food, building community, and changing the food system!
WE ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2024!

To Apply - Applicants Must:

Be 14-18 years old

Be willing and able to work outside in varying weather conditions, comfortably bending, kneeling, standing, and lifting 20-30 lbs

Have reliable transportation to arrive on-time to work

Be able to commit to the entire program

Complete a phone/in-person interview with Bright Spot Farm Staff Member

Provide all documentation listed in the applicant checklist below
** We fund our students through a number of different private and public funding sources. Some of our sources have income qualifications in order to help create job opportunities for those youth who are in the most financial need. We will consider all students who apply but try to give preference to those who income qualify first. Please check the income guidelines for where you live if you are unsure if you income qualify.

Sometimes it can take time to pull together the documents needed to start our program if you are accepted. To help you get a head start, we have attached a checklist and all the documents we will require so you can start to collect them once you apply.
**YOUTH APPRENTICE APPLICANT CHECKLIST**

Work Permit (for youth under 18; 18 or older please provide an ID with birth date)

Statement of Zero Income (only if family member receives NO income)

1 form of Photo ID (Driver's license, State ID, Recent School ID, OR passport)

1 form of residency ID (Birth certificate, Social Security card OR passport)

Income Verification (please read checklist doc linked above to understand what forms of income verification we require - feel free to e-mail us if you have any questions!)
